Zero UI
After the class we had on UX writing, I wanted to know more about the boundaries of it. As to, to what extent can you be explanatory. As I was doing that, I came across something called “Zero UI”. Practically, it is about getting away with the touch screens and using more of gesture technology, haptic and automated concepts. We call them internet of things or Artificial intelligence. These days, Zero UI is casually being used these days, for example, Amazon echo or a nest thermostat. I think this is a drastic change to general UX UI design because, it is about designing the UX considering three dimensions unlike screens which are linear or 2 dimensions. This gets complicated for a normal UX UI designer because, here one needs to consider different things such as data bases, AI, human psychology, etc. The inspiring things is, we evolved from analog devices to digital, now it is evolving towards AI and internet of things which is the next step of digital devices. Some of the greatest designers think that someday there will be a time when the devices might understand humans better than humans.
