Designing for Good - Spirited Network
An online platform to thank front-line workers during COVID -19.
I partnered with the non-profit organization, Spirited Network, to help design a platform to thank front-line workers during COVID -19.
The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed the world and people’s lives in 2020. Although I was lucky enough to have all the resources and capacity I need, I wanted to find a way to contribute to the crisis by being a designer. I volunteered on various platforms like HelpWithCovid.com and designgigsforgood.org which connected me with people looking out for design help. Recently, I had the opportunity to work with a group of talented people from The Oxford Guild to build a platform to thank front-linedesigngigsforgood.org workers.
I joined the team to design the platform for spirited thanks within the WordPress website of Spirited Network. I worked with the development team to understand the requirements and how to structure them into screens that would let people write a thank you note to front-line workers and share it on their social media.
The key here was to keep the design seamless with minimal navigation in order to motivate people to take action and use this platform.
In Addition, I produced visual designs that would create an inclusive, accessible, and friendly experience. The visual design included curated illustrations, Figma wireframes, and Prototypes for phone and desktop.
